Screen Actors Guild Ousts Allen as Top Negotiator: "A divided Screen Actors Guild board moved to oust Doug Allen as lead contract negotiator, signaling Hollywood’s largest actors union may back away from a planned strike-authorization vote.
Reports coming out of the closed meeting were at odds. Allen was removed as negotiator, though not as the union’s executive director, board member Seymour Cassel said in an interview last night from Los Angeles, during a break in the meeting."
