Orbotech Sees No Flat-Panel Demand Rebound Until: "Orbotech Ltd., the Israeli maker of equipment used by Sharp Corp. to inspect flat-panel displays, said a recovery in demand for panels is unlikely before 2010 as manufacturers cut spending and delay expansion.
Orbotech’s sales this year will rely on equipment orders already received for panels in televisions and mobile phones, Chief Executive Officer Rani Cohen said. New contracts will come when consumers in India and China start replacing older TV sets and those in developed countries buy additional ones, he said."
