Amar to move Rajya Sabha against Mayawati: "Charging the Uttar Pradesh government with “murdering” democracy in the name of law and order, Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Amar Singh on Thursday (January 15) threatened to move the privileges committee of Rajya Sabha against Chief Minister Mayawati for allegedly using force against him during a protest.
Singh, who turned up at a press conference with a bandage on his head along with his Gorakhpur Lok Sabha candidate Manoj Tiwari and party MP Jaya Bachchan, alleged that he received blows of lathis on his head during a scuffle with police personnel at Gorakhpur airport."
