FDA offices opened in India

FDA offices opened in India: "The US health regulator, the Food and Drug Administration, on Thursday (January 15) announced the opening of its offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, India. “Through these offices, we can work more closely with manufacturers to share best practices and ensure producers build quality and safety into food and medical products,” the US Secretary of Health, Mike Leavitte, said at the inaugural event.

While the New Delhi office would open immediately, the Mumbai office would be opened soon, officials said. The opening of the Mumbai office, which was scheduled to be along with New Delhi, was delayed because of the November 26 terrorist attack on the city."
