July-Dec., 2008 car sale compared previous year declined by 47 pc: "KARACHI: The sale of cars during July-December, 2008 as against the same period previous year declined by 47 percent.
Pakistan Auto Manufacturers Association (PAMA) released figures showed that the sale of cars during the first quarter of the current fiscal year as compared to the same period previous year dropped from 78759 units to 41972. According to the statistics, 1000 cc cars sale dwindled most by 57 percent, while 1300 cc and above cars sale dropped by 39 percent to 14961 units."
